A dog named Miracle Milly from Puerto Rico earned the title of World’s Smallest Dog by the Guinness World Records. Miracle Milly is a tiny Chihuahua with a height of 3.8 inches. The record was previously held by a Chihuahua from Kentucky.
September 29 and 30, dogs from across the country gathered in Huntington Beach, Cali., to compete in the fifth annual Surf City Surf Dog competition. The dogs were organized in heats based on weight. Contestants ranged from under 20 pounds to more than 60 pounds.
A 4-year-old labrador/retriever mix named Smokey was the winner of NBC’s “Chicago Fire” top dog contest. More than 100 firehouse dogs entered and then ranked in an online poll. Smokey will star in the NBC drama “Chicago Fire” as her prize.
