Tails Wag for Missouri Dogs

Last Tues., Sept. 24, Kansas City, Mo., Animal Control rescued a severely malnourished pit bull that was chained in a backyard without food or water. Missouri Pit Bull Rescue placed the dog is in a volunteer’s home where he’s recovering. 

September 23, 2013, Banfield Pet Hospital, the world’s largest veterinary practice, released its 2013 State of Pet Health Report. Banfield’s analysis of nearly 2.2 million dogs shows average lifespans by state and reasons for variance. Missouri dogs ranked moderately, with a lifespan of 10.9 years.

After being thrown off an overpass in Kansas City, Mo., earlier this year, Lindey the German Shepherd has been adopted. Lindey recovered from her injuries at the Missouri German Shepherd Rescue, and will go home with her new owners today, Sept. 29.
